Carefully designed fitted furniture enhances your home and increases its value

A lot of the work I do is to match in to an existing interior. I have an extensive knowledge of antique and contemporary interior design. Most of my work tends to be making and fitting alcove cupboards, bookcases and wardrobes but I provide a full range of other carpentry services.

I work with a variety of different woods often oak, cherry and walnut and sheet materials including MDF. Depending on your needs I can provide a painted, polished or sprayed finish; or leave it up to you to paint yourself. Most of the construction and painting work is done in the workshop to minimise any inconvenience to you and your home. Then it is carried in and fitted.

This means I am in your home for the minimum amount of time. When in your home I work quietly. I sometimes listen to radio 4. I use dust sheets when necessary and leave the job clean and tidy. Most of the work I do myself but sometimes bring in trusted helpers for bigger projects.

Normally I would come around to your home to meet with you and discuss your requirements. I phone back with a ball park figure. Then, if this is acceptable, we meet again to discuss details and agree a final figure. Often there might be some other options available at different prices.

I send a letter or e-mail with a firm quotation figure so that we are both clear about exactly what work I will be doing, when it will take place and the cost. This figure will include all expenses, labour and materials.

Have a look at these pictures of some of my work.
